NextGen Partners was founded by three partners who held senior positions in investments, finance and business development at Alibaba Group. With decades of experience ranging from building out technology ecosystems to strategic acquisitions and investments, NextGen Partners holds a wealth of expertise in discovering and investing in technology companies that have the potential to become market leaders.

As a holder of a Type-9 license granted by the HK SFC, NextGen Partners is the investment manager of the AEF NextGen Fund, the third venture growth fund under Alibaba Entrepreneurs Fund. AEF NextGen Fund focuses on investments in enabling AI stacks and agentic applications that enhance productivity and fuel disruptions across sectors including multi-modal media, consumer retail, fintech and beyond.
